McGovern already fed up with ex friend and ex commish.

What was thought to be a fantastic wiffleball field, turned into a windy disgusting goose poop filled pit. The opening game was delayed and moved to a less windy location, yet even with the delay the game could still not be started due to two players running an unheard of hour late to the game. This caused the lefty McGovern to play a mere two innings due to other commitments. Yet that didn't stop him with some parting shots at his fellow players.

"We expect Ryan to play by the rules and be a leader as being the Landlord and getting Lorenzo to the game on time. We need him to be more of a leader," McGovern said. "There were just a couple situations where he was late last year, I don't know if he was chatting with Nita, but he showed up late and the rest of the league was there. We have league rules and you have to be on time. He should be fined for being late, he said he had to run to radio shack and Lorenzo would not stop playing video games, and it's just unacceptable."

Although late, Ryan and Lorenzo both showed up in midseason form, squeaking by with a one run win in the first game over Bobby / Winter / Aj despite some sloppy baserunning errors by Ryan, which ended up with him trying to run backwards while in fear of getting pegged and falling on the ground. And in the second game they manhandled Thompson / Winter / and a Shirtless Brunetti.

After the game Thompson was still in good spirits despite going winless. "The numbers don't look good, but the most important number today was the Homeruns, and watching Lorenzo to continue struggling over there at third" Thompson said. "It would've been nice take the win, but I'm just happy to have some pop back in my bat after last season. Just nice to have a solid day after last years slow start. I got my work in."

Game Notes: Ryan finally gets his revenge after being humiliated last year while charging the mound and getting taken down by Lorenzo. This time Aj made a "Ryan likes his sister comment" in the first game, which resulted into him being thrown into the ground. To AJ's credit he was able to dodge Ryan a couple of times before he got ahold of him... No web Gems yet. Godino takes home the MVP trophy for the day getting two win's and bringing some power to the plate.

  2. I dunno McGovern, I think you were a bit out of line. You should have addressed the situation in the lockerroom instead of leaking it out to the press.
